Make a Difference 2021
Supporting OUR Educators Campaign!

We will be raising funds in honor of our Faculty Support and Paraeducator Team this year.
Our goal this year is $150,000

St. Monica Catholic School has been one of the few schools in the state that has offered in-person learning since October 2020. Instead of waiting for others to start guiding schools for the 2020-21 school year, St. Monica’s leadership and staff worked tirelessly throughout the summer to ensure that a plan was in place for a safe, and viable school to re-open in the Fall.

A non-negotiable component of that plan was that students should continue to be provided a well-rounded, flexible and enriched curriculum, and our teachers would be needing additional support to ensure students were being served for their individual academic needs while following the health and safety protocols put in place by our local health department.

St. Monica Catholic School is currently the only accredited Archdiocesan and Catholic Classical Liberal Arts School on the Eastside, and it is our specialists and para-educators who partner every day with our educators to ensure a rich, engaging and holistic curriculum.

Each child has many gifts, and it is our goal to help each child develop the skills, talents, and interests given to them by God. We can do this best with the overarching support and under the supervision of the adults in our school.

The Make a Difference portion of this year's St. Monica Auction will support the Paraeducator Team at St. Monica Catholic School. This amazing team helps our homeroom teachers daily. These funds will show our gratitude for the value they add and the creativity they share while enriching our children's education. All funds collected through this endeavor will go towards the following:

Salaries / Stipends (approx. $150,000)
•       On-site substitute, math, and grammar teacher
•       Full Time Kindergarten & First Grade Paraeducator
•       Full Time Preschool Support and Paraeducator
•       Full Time K-5 Partner Teacher
•       Full Time K-5 Paraeducator
•       Full Time Middle School Math Paraeducator
•       Part Time Technology/Marketing/Admissions Support Partner

As schools everywhere prepare for an uncertain Fall, it is our hope that we can continue to provide a high level of support, flexibility, and certainty to our families that St. Monica Catholic School will remain open and accessible to all families in our Seattle and Eastside communities.
